Paul Cappelli
Chairman/Founder
The Ad Store
Over his 30-year career, Paul Cappelli—chairman and founder of The Ad Store—has produced noteworthy and effective work for some of the world’s most demanding brands, including Mike’s Hard Lemonade, JetBlue Airways, L’Oreal, and General Electric, and has gained industry-wide recognition as well as numerous awards for his work.
Cappelli was the creative force behind Coca-Cola’s advertising through the late ’80s and early ’90s at McCann-Erickson (“Catch the Wave,” “Max Headroom”) where he was also creative director for L’Oreal, RJ Reynolds and Mennen.
Cappelli won his first Clio at BBDO. Before founding The Ad Store he was the Executive Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi’s AC&R Advertising, overseeing work for Estée Lauder, Seiko, Foot Locker, Aruba Tourism, and many other accounts.
For the past 18 years, Mr. Cappelli has driven the strategic and creative direction for all Ad Store clients and has personally directed many of the TV commercials for the agency—which now has offices in 14 cities worldwide.
While remaining active in advertising and marketing, Cappelli has recently launched his own brand of imported products from Puglia, Italy: the gourmet product line Villa Cappelli. He produces, packages, exports, imports and markets his own extra virgin olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, almonds, ketchup, herbs, and spices—all sold through specialty shops throughout the US.
