Elder Hipsters From the Future Reflect on the Unbearable Lightness of Today’s Social Media

You all know it’s Social Media Week, right? Well trust us, you could cram a million seminars on the Importance of Authenticity into a can, and that still wouldn’t be near as fun as this video shot to promote the event.

Set in the year 2062, “Future Hipsters” features elder-cools, who reflect on and laugh at all the social media nonsense that we obsess over today. “You could get away with absolutely anything in those days,” muses one skull-capped septuagenarian (octogenarian?). “I built an app that did absolutely nothing.” Meanwhile, a pretty old lady recalls, “I was a ‘community manager.’ They really didn’t understand what I was doing.”

The tagline: “See the future before it happens.”
