Herman Cain’s Libya Debacle Gets Spot-ified

One big development in advertising, circa Century 21: The ability to crank out current-event-inspired spots at breakneck speeds.

Case in point: Follis, Inc. (headed by FUEL contributor John Follis) managed to turn the Herman Cain Libya debacle—from just three days ago—into the above spot, which was already up on YouTube yesterday.

What’s the spot for? We’d tell you, but then Follis would have to kill us (also, we don’t want to spoiler the surprise). Just press play above.

We can say this, though: The commercial is clever and brilliant in its simplicity. It accomplishes for practically no dollars what many agencies can’t accomplish with many millions of special-effects-laden bucks.
